Suresh Kumar Chinta invested ₹17.5 lakh with Square and Yards Infra Pvt. Ltd. in 2023.
The agreement involved agricultural land registered in Chinta’s name for growing white sandalwood trees.
The company promised monthly payments but stopped paying in October 2023, according to the report.
The Hyderabad consumer commission heard the case ex parte after the company and other parties failed to appear.
The commission ordered ₹60,000 monthly payments from 10 October 2023 to 10 June 2031, totaling ₹55.8 lakh, plus compensation and legal costs.
