National Librarians' Day celebrated at Tagore Memorial Library
Wednesday was a special day in Vijayawada city in India.
It was National Librarians' Day.
People celebrated at a place called the Tagore Memorial Library.
This day is special because it is the birthday of Dr SR Ranganathan.
He was a famous library scientist who loved books.
A special guest named MS Baig came to thank the librarians.
He gave some of them shawls as a thank-you present.
Mr Baig also told everyone about Ranganathan's Five Laws of Library Science.
The laws say that books are meant to be used and that every book should find its reader.
The day ended with everyone saying thank you to the librarians.
