Women outnumber men again in Mizoram’s final electoral rolls
Mizoram checked and updated its list of voters.
The new list has 8,35,869 voters.
Women are more numerous than men on the list.
There are 4,32,689 women and 4,03,179 men.
One voter is registered as third-gender.
Officials added some voters and removed others after checking the records.
The checking process took place across all 11 districts.
Mizoram published the final list on Monday after the scheduled date was moved because September 6 was a Sunday.
Mizoram’s final electoral rolls list 8,35,869 registered voters, including 4,32,689 women, 4,03,179 men and one third-gender elector.
The final gender ratio is 1,073 women per 1,000 men, higher than the national average.
The Special Intensive Revision was conducted across all 11 districts beginning May 20, 2026.
From the draft roll, 39,243 electors were added and 32,280 were deleted, producing a net increase of 6,963.
Tuichawng has the most electors among the 40 Assembly constituencies, while West Tuipui has the fewest.
