Police Record Statement in Fake Aadhaar Voter ID Shift Case
Somebody used a fake identity card to change where a grown-up man is registered to vote.
The fake card had the man's picture on it, but the number on it was made up and did not exist.
The man's name is Prajwal Gupta.
He found out that his voting card address was changed from Bhosari to Indapur without his permission.
He complained to the police in December 2025, but nobody took action for a long time.
Local election officials had accepted the fake card even though the number was wrong.
Finally, in August 2026, the police started to look into it.
Now the police are recording people's statements and checking phone records.
They say they will register an FIR to find out who did this.

The District Collector informed police that Gupta's photo was used on the card but the Aadhaar number was wrong.
