Piyush Goyal is visiting Japan to help Indian and Japanese companies work more closely together.

He is travelling to Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka from August 24 to 27, 2026.

More than 200 Indian business representatives are joining him.

They represent industries such as factories, semiconductors, clean energy, cars, healthcare and finance.

Goyal met leaders from Sumitomo Corporation and Meiji Seika Pharma.

They discussed projects in areas such as energy, transportation, infrastructure and medicines.

India wants Japanese companies to invest more in manufacturing and research in India.

The visit will also include business meetings and an investment event in Osaka.
