Future City Police Seek Unified Road Safety Action

Police and government departments met to discuss how to make roads safer.

The meeting covered the Future City Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad.

Officials studied 31 dangerous road locations called black spots.

These locations had 426 crashes in three years.

Of those crashes, 176 were fatal and 250 were not fatal.

Officials also reviewed the number of road deaths in recent years.

The police commissioner asked departments to fix dangerous roads, improve lighting and remove obstacles.

He also asked departments to work with police after every fatal crash so similar accidents can be prevented.
