On December 3, 2025, which is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a police officer in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, was caught on camera hitting a man with disabilities who was sleeping on a train platform.

The officer, named Mansingh, was dressed in civilian clothes and was seen slapping and kicking the man.

The video quickly spread on social media, and the police superintendent suspended Mansingh soon after.

Mansingh said the man was drunk and using bad language, but many people were upset because the officer used too much force.

The incident happened at Nagda railway station, about 60 kilometers from Ujjain.

The officer is now attached to the Railway Police Line in Indore and cannot leave without permission.
