Vessel struck by projectile in Strait of Hormuz, crew casualty

A big ship was travelling through a narrow stretch of sea called the Strait of Hormuz.

While it was moving through, something hit the ship.

Nobody knows yet exactly what the thing was.

The hit hurt the room where the ship's engine lives, and one person on the ship was hurt.

The rest of the people on the ship got help from the Omani Coast Guard, a group that helps ships in trouble.

So far, no oil or other stuff has leaked into the sea, which is good for the water and animals.

Important grown-ups are looking into what happened to the ship.

They want to find out what hit the ship and why.
