India-Ukraine Ties Get Fresh Diplomatic Push as Envoy Presents Credentials
India and Ukraine are working to be better friends.
A new Indian diplomat named Anjani Kumar went to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, to start his new job.
He gave a special official letter to a Ukrainian leader called Olexandr Mischenko.
The two talked about how to make their countries' relationship stronger.
Earlier, the two countries' foreign ministers, S Jaishankar from India and Andrii Sybiha from Ukraine, talked on the phone.
They discussed a war that has been going on for more than four years in Ukraine.
India has said that countries should talk calmly instead of fighting.
Ukraine's leader talked about his recent visit to the United States.
Ukraine wants peace and has asked India to help bring it.
The war has also made fuel, food, and fertiliser more expensive in many parts of the world.

India's Ambassador-designate to Ukraine, Anjani Kumar, presented his Letter of Credence to Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko at Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv on Monday.
The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen Indo-Ukraine bilateral relations.
On July 30, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held a phone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the Ukraine conflict and peace negotiations.
Jaishankar said India has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomacy between the parties concerned and underlined the conflict's impact on fuel, fertiliser and food security, especially for the Global South.
Sybiha briefed Jaishankar on the outcomes of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Washington, DC, and encouraged India to play an active role in peace efforts.
