Kadapa Police Launch Mobile Forensic Unit for Investigations
Kadapa police received a special vehicle to help investigate crimes.
District SP Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath formally started the unit on Saturday.
The vehicle can travel to crime scenes across YSR Kadapa district.
It carries tools for collecting DNA and blood samples.
It also has equipment for checking explosives and examining evidence closely.
Digital forensic imagers can help preserve electronic evidence.
Police said using the equipment quickly may reduce contamination.
They believe this can make evidence stronger in court.
District SP Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath flagged off the Mobile Forensic Unit at the District Police Office on Saturday.
The vehicle was allotted through the AP FSL under DGP Harish Kumar Gupta’s initiative.
It will support crime scene investigations across YSR Kadapa district.
The unit carries DNA and blood collection kits, explosive screening devices, stereo microscopes, and digital forensic imagers.
Police said the vehicle will help preserve physical and digital evidence quickly, reduce contamination risks, and strengthen court prosecutions.
