Two Fortuners Face Cases Over Fake MLA Stickers
‘MLA’ On Windshield, But No MLA Inside: Two Fortuners Caught With Fake Political Stickers In Pune | WATCH · freepressjournal.in

Police in Pimpri-Chinchwad found two private Toyota Fortuners displaying stickers that suggested an MLA was inside.

The vehicles were first stopped because their windows were heavily tinted.

One vehicle was checked in Wakad on September 10.

The other was checked in Bhosari on September 12.

Police said the people inside were not MLAs and had no permission to use the stickers.

In the Bhosari case, occupants allegedly said the sticker could help them receive VIP treatment.

Police registered cases under a law about pretending to belong to a public-servant group.

The investigation will examine how the stickers were obtained and whether the practice is widespread.
