Operation 3/25: Jalgaon Police Verify 214 Criminals, Seize Firearms

Police in a district called Jalgaon wanted to make sure everyone stays safe before Independence Day, a big national holiday on August 15.

So they started a special mission called 'Operation 3/25'.

In this mission, police officers checked on 214 people who had been in trouble with the law before.

They wanted to find out if any of them were keeping dangerous weapons, which is against the rules.

During the checks, police found seven locally made pistols, 11 bullets, a sword, and 25 mobile phones.

The police took all these things away.

Police also registered three cases against seven people.

The things they found are worth about ₹7.19 lakh, which is a lot of money.

The police said this was done to stop any bad incidents during the Independence Day celebrations.

Police plan to keep watching people with weapon-related histories to maintain peace and security.
