Mumbai Launches 'Drug-Free Mumbai' Campaign Nationwide Against Narcotics
India’s biggest city, Mumbai, is a busy port and airport that makes it easy for bad people to bring in drugs.
The state government says this is why many drugs travel through Mumbai.
To stop this, the chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, started a new plan called 'Drug‑Free Mumbai'.
The plan wants police to catch drug dealers and also asks regular people to help by teaching kids and adults about the dangers of drugs.
Schools, colleges, and even offices will hold meetings and posters to warn about drugs.
People can also sign a promise online that they will stay away from drugs.
The government has already taken a lot of drugs, worth more than 150 crore rupees, and arrested over 300 people who sell them.
The plan hopes that by working together, Mumbai can become safer and healthier for everyone.
