ACB Catches Three Somasila Engineers, Contractor in Bribe Trap
The Anti-Corruption Bureau, or ACB, investigates suspected corruption by government officials.
It says three engineers and a private contractor were caught in Nellore.
The ACB alleges they asked a farmer for Rs 3 lakh.
The money was allegedly wanted to issue a certificate for work on his farmland.
The trap happened at a Somasila Project office.
The people caught have been named in a corruption case.
The investigation is still continuing.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau caught three Somasila Project engineers and a private contractor in Nellore.
The ACB alleged they demanded and accepted a Rs 3-lakh bribe from farmer Ambati Chiranjeevi.
The money was allegedly sought to process and issue a no-objection certificate for developing his agricultural land.
The trap took place around 6:10 pm at the Executive Engineer’s office in Nellore city.
A case was registered under Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, and investigation continues.
