SFI Demands Better Quality Midday Meals for Students

The Student Federation of India, called SFI for short, is a group that speaks up for students' rights.

In Kurnool district, at a place called Holagunda, students get lunch at school through a government program called the Dokka Seethamma Midday Meal Scheme.

The SFI says the food served to students is not good enough.

They claim the rice is not cooked properly and the curry is too watery.

The SFI believes the government has a duty to give students healthy food.

They want the cooking company replaced with one that serves fresh, hot, and clean meals.

They also asked officials to visit schools without warning to check the food quality.

Students and SFI leaders marched to the local MRO office, held a protest, and gave officials a written list of their demands.

SFI warned that if nothing changes, they will hold bigger protests across the whole district.
