Rajasthan Railway Stations Receive Rs 56,000 Crore Upgrade Push
Rajasthan is spending a lot of money to improve its railway stations and train facilities.
The total planned investment is Rs 56,000 crore.
Eighty-five stations are being rebuilt or improved through the Amrit Bharat Station programme.
Jaipur station is getting new entrances, bridges, lifts, escalators and a large air-conditioned hall.
The station will also use solar power and systems to collect rainwater and manage waste.
A new train-maintenance terminal is being built at Khatipura near Jaipur.
Railways are also adding tracks, new railway lines and electric routes.
These projects are intended to make travel and train operations easier in Rajasthan.

Jaipur station’s Rs 717 crore redevelopment includes a second entry, air-conditioned concourse, footbridges, lifts and escalators.
A mega coaching terminal at Khatipura will provide maintenance facilities for Vande Bharat, DEMU, LHB and other train rakes.
Railway expansion also includes new lines, track doubling and electrification, with six Vande Bharat trains operating in Rajasthan.
