A 12‑year‑old girl from Aluva, a city in Kerala, went missing on July 25 after leaving home to borrow a book.
Police traced her to several places, including Goa and Mumbai, but she was finally found in Pune with a man from Kollam.
The pair had their phones turned off.
The man was taken into custody, and the girl is now going back to Kerala with police help.
