A big political party called the Congress held a meeting in a place called Malerkotla in Punjab.

A leader named Bhupesh Baghel said that the people of Punjab are tired of the current state government and want Congress to win the next election.

He said he visited many towns and saw lots of people cheering for Congress.

Another leader, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, said that if Congress wins, they will stop bad people from controlling sand mining.

Sand mining is digging up sand from rivers to make buildings.

Warring also complained that the Chief Minister promised to make lots of money from sand mining but did not.

He said the police should be fair and not arrest innocent people on purpose.

The leaders also said the central government uses agencies against its opponents, which they think is unfair.

Punjab will hold its election early next year.

The Congress leaders believe the people will choose them to run the state.
