India’s eSanjeevani Crosses 50 Crore Teleconsultations, Expands Specialist Access
eSanjeevani is a service that lets people talk to healthcare providers remotely.
It has now handled more than 50 crore consultations.
People can use it in English and 14 Indian languages.
The service handles about 2.5 to 3 lakh consultations each day.
It is connected to the emergency response system to help link people with remote medical support.
A new artificial intelligence tool helps healthcare providers during consultations.
Patients can also get some specialist consultations from home through three AIIMS institutions.

India’s National Telemedicine Service, eSanjeevani, recorded 50,00,92,730 teleconsultations by September 15.
The platform supports more than 1.42 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandir spokes, 19,473 medical hubs and 901 online OPDs.
It facilitates about 2.5–3 lakh consultations daily and is available in 15 languages.
Women account for 57.14% of utilisation; citizens aged 46 and above account for 40.15%.
AI decision support and specialist teleconsultations at three AIIMS institutions are among the platform’s developments.
