Two Kanwariya Groups Clash Over Jalabhishek at MP Temple

In the holy month of Shravan, people called Kanwariyas walk long distances to Shiva temples to offer holy Ganga water.

Two groups of these pilgrims met at a famous temple in Morena, a town in India.

Both groups wanted to pour the holy water on the Shiva stone, called a Shivling, first.

This started an argument about who should go first.

The argument quickly turned into a fight.

Someone at the temple recorded the fight on their phone.

The video spread widely on social media.

Now people are talking about how to keep pilgrims safe and manage large crowds during Shravan.

The police have not yet said exactly what happened or who was involved.
