TDP MP questions 13-year delay in Jagan DA cases
A man named Chintakayala Vijay is a member of Parliament who speaks for the Telugu Desam Party.
He stood up in a big government meeting called the Rajya Sabha to talk about courts and laws.
He said that a former leader of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been waiting 13 years for his court cases to finish.
The cases are about money and property that investigating agencies say he gained unfairly.
Those cases started in 2013 but are still not complete.
Vijay said that waiting so long for a court decision is the same as not getting justice at all.
He thinks things like judges being changed and requests to stop the cases have made everything slower.
He also said his party supports a plan to add more judges to the Supreme Court, from 33 judges to 37 judges.
Vijay believes that very slow court cases make people stop trusting the justice system.
He asked for the cases to be finished within a fixed amount of time.

Vijay raised the issue during the Rajya Sabha discussion on the Supreme Court Judges (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
He extended the Telugu Desam Party's full support to the legislation, which proposes increasing the sanctioned strength of Supreme Court judges from 33 to 37.
Invoking 'justice delayed is justice denied', Vijay alleged that repeated discharge petitions and transfers of judges have contributed to the delay.
He said prolonged litigation erodes public confidence in the judicial system and called for time-bound trials in all such cases.
