Bodies of Two Army Personnel Recovered After Hathnikund Mishap
Five Army personnel were taking part in water training at Hathnikund Barrage.
Their boat was pulled toward the downstream side by strong water currents.
The boat became stuck near the barrage gates and overturned.
Three people escaped by swimming to safety.
Two others were carried away by the water.
Search teams from the Army, Air Force, disaster-response forces and police looked for them.
Their bodies were found in different places along the river.
The Army has not yet officially confirmed the identities reported for the two deceased personnel.

One body was recovered from the Yamuna near Bartha Korsi village in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night.
The second body was recovered near Amreheri village in Haryana’s Jind district on Thursday morning.
The Army said strong currents and eddies near the barrage’s sluice gates caused the boat to capsize.
Three personnel swam to safety, while a multi-agency search operation recovered the two missing personnel.
