Sangeetha Balachandra sang devotional songs for 25 hours without stopping.

She began on Sunday morning and finished on Monday morning in Udupi.

Her songs came from Dasa Sahitya and included kirtanas and Haridasa compositions.

The music was offered as a service to Lord Sri Krishna.

Musicians played keyboard, rhythm pad, tabla and flute alongside her.

Dr Manish Vishnoi checked the performance for the Golden Book of World Records.

He announced that the achievement had earned a place in the record book and gave her a certificate.

A senior religious leader listened to her final song and encouraged her.

Balachandra was then given the title “Geetha Gangothri” at a felicitation ceremony.
