Monsoon Session Deadlock Persists; Special Session Proposed for Delimitation Bill

Since the session began on July 20, the Lok Sabha has not completed a single Question Hour.
Five Bills have been cleared without discussion amid the ongoing standoff.
Government sources said a three-day special session has been proposed from August 16-18 to pass the pending Delimitation Bill.
The government is also expected to take up the Women's Reservation Bill and is keen to secure approval for both pieces of legislation.
