DDA to Develop Five-Star Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dwarka by 2030
The Delhi Development Authority, the agency that manages planning in Delhi, agreed with a hotel company to build a big five-star hotel in Dwarka, an area of New Delhi.
The hotel will be run by Juniper Hotels together with the famous Grand Hyatt brand.
It will be built in Sector 23 of Dwarka.
The hotel should be open by the year 2030.
Building it will cost about 1,000 crore rupees.
Over 55 years, the hotel is expected to bring in more than 6,000 crore rupees for the DDA.
Around 800 people will get jobs because of the hotel.
It will be located near a long golf course, a huge convention centre, a sports complex, and a planned diplomatic area.
The goal is to help make Dwarka a top destination for business and tourism.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) signed an agreement with Juniper Hospitality Assets Private Limited, a Juniper Hotels subsidiary, to build a hotel in Sector 23 of Dwarka.
The five-star hotel will be developed and operated by Juniper in partnership with Hyatt under the Grand Hyatt brand on a licence fee basis.
The project is expected to attract investments of around Rs 1,000 crore and create around 800 direct employment opportunities.
The hotel is scheduled to become operational by 2030 and is projected to generate more than Rs 6,000 crore in revenue for DDA over the 55-year licence period.
The hotel will overlook DDA's Dwarka Golf Course and sit near the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, the Dwarka Sports Complex, and the proposed Diplomatic Enclave.
