Vikhroli Double Murder House Gutted In Fire; Police Probe Arson
Something very sad happened to a family in their home in Mumbai, India.
A dad and his teenage son were hurt very badly and sadly died.
The police believe the hurt came from a fight between family members who lived in the same house.
The fight started because one person was playing songs too loudly on a mobile phone.
Police arrested three family members and closed the house so nobody could enter.
A few days later, in the middle of the night, the house caught fire.
Firefighters came quickly and stopped the fire, and nobody was hurt in the fire.
But almost everything inside the house was burned up.
The grandmother, who owns the house, says someone threw glowing embers inside on purpose.
People are wondering if the fire was an accident or if someone started it on purpose to hide evidence.
Now the police are trying to find out exactly what happened.
A Mumbai house where Sunil Kalicharan Vishwakarma, 40, and his 14-year-old son Shlok were allegedly murdered was gutted in a fire on August 10, days after police sealed the premises.
The fire broke out around 4.30 am at Shiv Chhaya Society, Rahul Nagar, Parksite, Vikhroli (West), and a gas cylinder reportedly exploded; nobody was injured but household belongings were destroyed.
Police registered an FIR against an unidentified person for allegedly setting the premises ablaze by throwing burning embers inside, on the complaint of house owner Vijaylakshmi Vishwakarma, 63.
The murders took place around 12.15 am on August 6 during a family dispute over reportedly vulgar songs played loudly on a mobile phone.
Sunil's brothers Surendra alias Sonu (36), Suraj (33) and Surendra's wife Preeti (28) were arrested and remanded in judicial custody; Anju (37) and her younger son remain seriously injured and under treatment.
