Gujarat Launches Single-Window Portal to Streamline Film-Shooting Permissions
Gujarat has created a new website to make film-shooting permissions easier to obtain.
It was launched by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on September 27, World Tourism Day.
Filmmakers can use it to seek permissions for movies, documentaries, web series and advertisements.
The portal puts several permissions together in one digital place.
It is connected to the Indian Cine Hub, a national permissions platform.
Officials, police representatives and line producers received training on how to use it.
Gujarat hopes more filmmakers will choose its heritage sites, landscapes, coastline and other locations.
The state also expects filming to support tourism, hospitality, transportation and local employment.
