Kidnapped Youth Rescued, Four Mobile Snatchers Held in Bihar
In Muzaffarpur, a young man went to the market on the evening of August 9.
Two men on a motorcycle stopped him and took him away.
The men called the young man's father and asked for Rs 50,000 to set him free.
The father reported this to the police, who quickly formed a special team.
The police found the young man and rescued him in about two hours.
They arrested the two suspects and found a gun, bullets, the young man's phone, and the motorcycle used in the crime.
In a separate case in Patna, police arrested four people for snatching mobile phones at Marine Drive.
The police recovered seven phones that had been stolen or snatched.
Police are now working to return the phones to their owners and checking whether the group committed other crimes.
The police are also questioning the kidnappers to find out if anyone else was involved.
A youth kidnapped in Muzaffarpur on the evening of August 9 was rescued safely by police within approximately two hours.
Two alleged kidnappers, Manjay Kumar and Sunil Kumar, were arrested after a Rs 50,000 ransom was demanded from the victim's father.
Police recovered a country-made pistol, four live cartridges, the victim's mobile phone and the motorcycle used in the kidnapping.
In a separate operation, Patna Police arrested four people — Aditya, Shiva, Gopi and Rahul Kumar — over mobile-snatching incidents at Marine Drive (JP Ganga Path).
Seven stolen or snatched mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered, and police are investigating possible links to other snatchings in Patna.
