Ward member allegedly encroaching government land in Srirangapuram mandal

A person who was just elected to help run a small area called a ward has been accused of taking land that belongs to the government.

The land was supposed to be used for a school.

Some people think he tricked a village worker into putting the land in his own name on a computer system.

Leaders found out and told the collector, a government official, about it.

The official had the land removed from the person's name.

The person then changed his political team to get more support.

The next day, a leader named Thudi Megha Reddy did a special ceremony on that same land.

But other leaders kept complaining about the land.

Now the collector has ordered officials to take the land back properly.

People in the area want the land to be used for public things like schools.
