Authorities recovered two pistols, three magazines, eight rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition and two mobile phones.
The men reportedly could not produce licences or legal documents for possessing the weapons.
Officials said Tripura remains vulnerable to arms smuggling because of its location and border with Bangladesh.
