Ludhiana Completes Punjab's First Tree Census, Maps 2 Lakh Trees
A tree census is a big count of all the trees in a city.
The city of Ludhiana in Punjab, India, just counted its trees for the very first time.
Workers found and counted about 200,000 trees.
Every tree was mapped and tagged on a computer, like placing a pin on a map.
All the information was saved in a digital database.
Ludhiana is the first city in Punjab to do this.
