Judges and Ministers Play Badminton
Today, some important judges and government ministers are playing badminton together in Delhi.
The Chief Justice of India and two other judges will play against two ministers in an exhibition match.
This is a special event with many judges from different courts playing in singles and doubles matches.
The winners will be awarded by a former Chief Justice and one of the judges.
The event is organized by a former badminton player with support from the government and the Supreme Court.
The Chief Justice said that judges need to take part in recreational activities to cope with their stressful jobs.
It's a fun way for them to spend time together and remember the importance of their roles.
Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Vikram Nath will play against Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in a badminton exhibition match.
The event is part of a two-day tournament with 84 judges from the Supreme Court and high courts, including five women judges.
Singles and doubles matches in both men's and women's categories are scheduled.
The winners will be felicitated by former Chief Justice BR Gavai and Justice Vikram Nath.
The event is organized by former international badminton player Abantika Deka with support from the Ministry of Law and Justice and the Supreme Court of India.
