Surat Man Arrested After Allegedly Kidnapping Woman’s Father
Police say a man named Rishabh Nahata went to a businessman’s home with two friends.
The businessman’s daughter was not there.
Nahata was upset because she had stopped talking to him, according to police.
An argument followed, and the three men allegedly took her father away at gunpoint.
Police found the group in Surat’s City Light area within hours.
They arrested the three men and rescued the businessman.
Police also said they recovered valuables worth about Rs 41.40 lakh.
The accused told police they had gone to ask the daughter about a disagreement involving another woman.
Police say Rishabh Nahata and two friends kidnapped a businessman at gunpoint on October 1.
The incident allegedly followed a dispute over Nahata’s relationship with the businessman’s daughter, who had stopped communicating with him.
Police traced the accused to Surat’s City Light area within hours and rescued the businessman.
Nahata, Dev Ketan Ahir and Laxman Rathod were arrested, police said.
Police recovered valuables worth approximately Rs 41.40 lakh from the accused.
