Delhi HC Quashes Lokpal Proceedings Against Defence Secretary
Delhi HC quashes Lokpal proceedings against Defence Secretary R K Singh in NPC promotion case · theprint.in

The Delhi High Court has stopped the Lokpal of India from taking any action against Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and other officials.

The Lokpal had started an investigation because of a complaint about unfair promotions at the National Productivity Council (NPC).

The court said that the promotions happened before Singh was in charge, so he shouldn't be blamed.

The court also said that the Lokpal was trying to do things that it isn't allowed to do by law.

Now, the investigation is over, and Singh and the other officials don't have to worry about it anymore.
