The new board has 10 members.

It includes important city officials and the commissioner of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency.

A senior Municipal Administration and Urban Development official will lead the board.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority commissioner will be the deputy leader.

The existing Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited managing director will continue in that job.

The government says the larger board is needed because the agency handles major projects.

It hopes the new arrangement will help officials plan together, acquire land and finish infrastructure work on time.
