Commission Chief Orders Officials to Protect SC/ST Welfare Rights

SC/ST Commission Chairman Bakki Venkataiah warned officials against diverting or misusing welfare and development funds.
He reviewed land issues, RORs, employee promotions, welfare schemes and atrocity cases with district officials.
Officials were directed to implement roster reservations in promotions and ensure eligible beneficiaries receive constitutional rights and benefits.
Venkataiah called for speedy investigations, timely compensation and rehabilitation in SC/ST atrocity cases.
He urged regular Civil Rights Day programmes and CCTV installation at sensitive locations to improve awareness and prevent crimes and land disputes.
