Consumer Court Orders Maruti Suzuki Compensation Over E20 Fuel Damage

In India, some cars run on a special kind of petrol called E20, which is mixed with fuel made from plants.

A consumer court in Raipur looked at his complaint.

The court told Maruti Suzuki they must replace the car or pay the doctor 20.5 lakh rupees.

The company has 45 days to do this.

However, the government says they have tested E20 fuel a lot and found no proof it breaks engines.

So the court and the government have different opinions on whether E20 fuel is safe.

This decision could affect India's plan to use more E20 petrol in the future.
