Udupi Man Arrested After Allegedly Killing Parents With Hammer
Police arrested a 31-year-old man named Shahid Ali in Udupi.
His parents, Mehboob Ali and Shamshad Begum, were found dead at their home.
Police said they had been hit on the head with a hammer.
Shahid reportedly called the emergency helpline himself on Monday morning.
He allegedly said the incident happened on Sunday evening.
He told police that he believed his parents had been mentally harassing him.
The police took him into custody after visiting the house.

Brahmavar police registered Crime No. 161/2026 under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are investigating.
