UP Cancels Exams Over Scams
UP Cabinet okays cancellation of JS University recognition over ‘fake degree scam’ · indianexpress.com

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken strong action against two major educational scams.

First, they cancelled the recognition of JS University in Sikohabad because it was giving out fake degrees and more degrees than it was allowed to.

About 4,000 students will be affected, and a committee will help them.

The university's chancellor and registrar were arrested last year.

Second, the government cancelled the Assistant Professor exam held in April 2025 because the Special Task Force found out that some people were cheating and extorting money.

Three people were arrested for making fake question papers and giving them to candidates.

The Chief Minister ordered a new exam to be held fairly.

Both actions show the government's commitment to stopping cheating and ensuring fair education.
