Many people in Bihar get a little money every month from the government to help them buy food and medicine.

These people are grandparents, widows, and people with disabilities.

The government sent money straight into their bank accounts using a system called Direct Benefit Transfer.

Each person now receives 1,100 rupees every month, which is 700 rupees more than before.

The government sent more than 100 crore rupees in one day.

Different news reports give different numbers, with one saying 98 lakh people got the money and another saying more than 1 crore people.

The 10th day of every month is now called Bihar Pension Day.

On this day, the pension will be sent to people's accounts.

The Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, announced this program.

He also said 1.7 crore families in Bihar get free electricity.
