Bangadi Honored as Tulu Yakshagana Pioneer
A special event was held to honor K. Anantharam Bangadi, a famous Tulu Yakshagana artist.
Kolthige Narayana Gowda, a veteran artist, talked about how Bangadi made Tulu Yakshagana popular and helped it grow.
He wrote 65 Tulu Yakshagana stories and made the art form successful.
The event was organized by the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Yaksha Pratibha Mangaluru.
After the talks, there was a performance of a Tulu Yakshagana called 'Siri Krishne–Chandrapali,' which the audience liked very much.
Kolthige Narayana Gowda praised K. Anantharam Bangadi for his significant contributions to Tulu Yakshagana.
Bangadi authored 65 Tulu Yakshagana prasangas, helping to expand the art form's audience and financial sustainability.
The seminar was organized by the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Yaksha Pratibha Mangaluru at Tulu Bhavana in Mangaluru.
Taranath Gatti Kapikad highlighted the role of Tulu Yakshagana in preserving the Tulu language.
