Astra Cybercity plans to build a large technology campus and data centre in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

The company says it plans to invest USD 3 billion.

The project could create as many as 10,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly.

Astra Cybercity and the Maharashtra government exchanged an agreement about the project in Mumbai on October 1, 2026.

Its first phase is planned to use modular data centres that can be set up faster than conventional ones.

These centres are intended to provide computing power for artificial intelligence.

The work will happen in stages, and site work and approvals are expected to start with state agencies.
