John Brittas Files Privilege Notice Against BJP MP Sushmita Dev
A politician named John Brittas works in India's Parliament, in a house called the Rajya Sabha.

The word she used can be used to make fun of people from South India.
John Brittas felt the word was unfair and insulting.

Brittas objected that the word denigrates people from South India and reduces their identity to stereotypes.
The remark was made while Brittas was moving a statutory resolution against the Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026.
Brittas, along with a group of legislators from Kerala, met the chairman to lodge their protest.
