Delhi murder accused, most-wanted criminal Wasim Lambu arrested in Bengal's Nandigram
Police in Delhi were looking for a very dangerous man named Wasim Lambu.
He was accused of committing many serious crimes, like hurting people and stealing.
To avoid being caught, he ran away and hid in a small village called Nandigram in another state, West Bengal.
But the police did not give up looking for him.
They got a secret tip about where he was hiding.
Police officers from Delhi traveled all the way to West Bengal to find him.
They asked the local police in Nandigram for help, and the two police teams worked together.
They searched different places and finally found him hiding in a house.
Now he has been arrested and will have to face the courts for his crimes.
The police are very happy because catching him was a big success.
The Special Task Force (STF) of Delhi Police, with local police cooperation, arrested most-wanted criminal Wasim Lambu from Nandigram in East Midnapore district, West Bengal.
About 125 cases, including murder charges, are registered against Lambu with the Delhi Police, along with robbery, kidnapping, rape, theft and assault on police.
Lambu, originally from Darbhanga in Bihar, had lived in Jahangir Puri, Delhi, and was hiding in a house adjacent to Chowringhee Bazar under Kendyamari Village Panchayat.
The Delhi STF team arrived after a tip-off and conducted joint raid and search operations with Nandigram Police.
Separately, suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed associate Hamim Mandal was arrested from Burdwan; his alleged target was Chief Minister Shuvendu Adhikari, and associates Arpita Srakar and Aditya Singh were also arrested.
