India Reports 352 Flight Defects, DGCA Tightens Oversight

The Indian government said that 352 big problems were found in planes flying in and out of India up to June 2026.

Most of these problems were in domestic flights.

A company called Akasa Air had the most problems, with 152.

The DGCA, which watches over airlines, sent 382 warnings to airlines for safety issues between January 2024 and June 2026.

They also took 51 actions against airlines from 2023 to 2025.

After a big crash in Ahmedabad in 2025, the DGCA checked airports and airlines to make sure everything was safe.

They found some problems and fixed them.

The information was given to the Indian parliament by the civil aviation minister, Murlidhar Mohol, after a question from a parliament member.
