Kerala to frame SOP for sea mishap emergency response

Some fishermen took their boats out near the coast of Kerala, a state in India, and the boats got into trouble.

Three of the fishermen are still missing: Gautam Krishna, John, and Shijin.

Sadly, Gautam Krishna's father and grandfather also died in the boat accident.

Many rescue teams, including the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard, have been searching for the missing fishermen for nearly two weeks.

So far, the search has not found them.

A government leader named V E Abdul Gafoor, who is the Kerala Fisheries Minister, visited the family of one of the missing fishermen.

He said the government will create a special plan, called an SOP, to respond faster when sea accidents happen.

The plan will help rescue people during the 'golden hour', the most important time right after an accident.

The government will also get modern tools like drones, underwater cameras, and rescue boats to help with searches.
