Bengaluru Metro Adds Six-Coach Trains To Ease Peak-Hour Crowding
Bengaluru Metro plans to add longer trains on two busy lines.
The new trains will have six coaches instead of fewer coaches.
They are meant to carry more people at once.

Four trains have already arrived.

BMRCL received safety authorization to operate new six-coach CRRC trains on the Purple and Green Lines.
Four of 21 planned trainsets have arrived and will progressively enter revenue service.
The remaining 17 trainsets are expected to arrive at roughly two per month.
The trains are intended to increase peak-hour capacity and improve train availability.
The Purple Line runs from Challaghatta to Whitefield, while the Green Line connects Madavara with Silk Institute.
