NIA Court Rejects Bail Plea in Pulwama Case
Special NIA Court Rejects Bail Plea of Pulwama Attack Accused Insha Jan · thequint.com

Insha Jan is accused in a case about a conspiracy linked to the Pulwama terror attack.

She asked the court to let her leave jail while her trial continues.

Her lawyers said she had been in custody for more than six years.

They also said the trial was delayed and that she had several health problems.

The defence said 49 of 240 prosecution witnesses had been questioned.

It argued that no witness had connected Jan to the alleged offences and that no incriminating material was recovered from her.

The court refused bail because the trial is still underway and witnesses could possibly be influenced.

However, it ordered the jail to provide her medical care and report on it every two weeks.
