Tamil Nadu TASMAC Digitises Liquor Stock Orders Statewide
Tamil Nadu’s liquor shops are changing how they request new stock.
From September 1, supervisors will use handheld devices instead of paper forms.
The devices will show how much of each brand and pack size a shop can request.
These amounts will be based on sales in that area.
Supervisors cannot lower the system’s starting quantities.
They can increase them by up to 20 percent if customers need more.
They can also add registered brands that are popular locally.
Each final request will need an OTP sent to the supervisor’s registered phone.
TASMAC says the change should reduce paperwork and help prevent supply delays.
TASMAC will introduce automated stock-indent submissions for all retail liquor shops from September 1.
Shop supervisors will use dedicated handheld devices instead of submitting manual requests.
The system will generate shop-specific quantities by brand and pack size based on sales data.
Supervisors may increase automated quantities by up to 20 percent and add registered local brands.
OTP authentication will make digital submissions final and send them directly to local depots for dispatch.
