Ernakulam to Host Kerala School Arts Festival After 20 Years
Ernakulam will host Kerala’s school arts festival in 2027.
This is the first time the city has hosted it in 20 years.
About 14,000 students from across Kerala may take part.
They will compete in 249 different events.
The festival will last five days, from January 4 to 8.
Marine Drive will be the main location, with 27 other places also being used.
Students will receive extra school marks based on their festival grades.
The government says the festival helps children develop their talents and keeps traditional arts alive.
Ernakulam will host the Kerala School Kalolsavam from January 4 to 8, 2027, after a 20-year gap.

Students receiving A, B or C grades will earn 20, 15 or 10 grace marks, respectively.
